For twenty years, Romor Exhibitions Ltd has presented the  ‘Wrest Park Craft & Design Festival’ over the August Bank Holiday weekend. This show has become synonymous with high quality designer-made craftwork, presented in a beautiful outdoor setting.

The company is now bringing its expertise to a new show. The ‘Craft & Design Show’ will host a selection of the country’s leading designer makers displaying their stunning work within the sumptuous mansion state rooms at Wrest Park.

The venue is an English Heritage property in the style of a French Chateau set the in beautiful Mid–Bedfordshire countryside. The staterooms have recently been restored and reflect the beauty of the work exhibited.

Some of the exhibitors will be familiar to visitors to the summer event but others are new. The organisers pride themselves on the fact that every exhibitor designs and makes all the items on display so visitors are not only able to purchase unique pieces but can talk to the person who made it – and even commission something particularly special! A number of local exhibitors will be taking part.

Whilst talent is required to design and skilfully fashion such work, the pieces do not need to be expensive – there is something for everyone and every pocket. The value is found in the expertise and imagination that goes into the creation of each item – be it jewellery, textiles, woodturning or ceramics.

This is certainly the place to solve some of those Christmas present dilemmas!
